Change the shape of your derriere with butt implants in South Korea. As the world’s leading online medical booking platform, we have partnered with only the best surgeons and clinics that offer expertise at a fraction of the price you’d pay at home.
This cosmetic surgery procedure is becoming increasingly popular for women wishing to create a shapelier, more feminine contour; many patients who undergo the procedure report improved confidence, as well as better-fitting clothes.
If you’ve decided that butt implants are for you then you may be considering options overseas. Although South Korea may not be the name on everyone’s lips when it comes to holiday destinations in Asia (unlike, say, Thailand or Vietnam) the country is one of Asia's open travel secrets in terms of culture, history, scenery and nightlife.
As one of the world’s leading destinations for cosmetic surgery, South Korea boasts world-class surgeons who specialize in a wide range of niches. Cosmetic surgery is part of the culture here and it’s normal for Koreans, especially in the larger cities, to have routine treatments such as eyelid surgery, nose jobs, fillers (such as Botox®) and even complex procedures like chin augmentation.
Medical standards are very high here, and training is just as rigorous as it is in the West. Similarly, facilities tend to be excellent, equipped with the latest innovative technologies and internationally recognized standards met for hygiene and safety.
As with any medical procedure, we always advise that you do your own background checking. It is your health and body, after all. Unfortunately, there is no one easy way for the uninitiated to obtain an accurate picture of the quality and we usually have to base our assumptions on a number of metrics.
Medical Departures carries out a number of checks, including onsite visits, verification of qualifications & professional memberships, collation of patient testimonials and criminal/legal record checks. Only when these check out satisfactorily do we list a clinic/doctor on our website.
Get started now by checking out these two leading clinics for butt implants in South Korea (both being based in the capital, Seoul):
The butt implant procedure takes between one and two hours. A general anesthetic is administered and small incisions are made in the natural creases of the buttocks, below the large gluteal muscle. The implants are inserted through these incisions, which are then stitched closed to heal.
Sometimes the procedure is performed with a combination with a fat transfer where fat is removed by liposuction from one part of the body and injected into the buttocks, which is said to give a more natural appearance. You may see this referred to as a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
You can learn more details about what a butt implant procedure entails here.
Following surgery, you will inevitably feel tender and stiff; sitting down may not be an option for a day or two. You may find it more comfortable to lie on your stomach. Walking around as soon as you can after surgery does speed up the healing process as it helps reduce swelling (and blood clots!)
Do remember to purchase a high-quality pillow (such as a memory foam pillow), which will help enormously after surgery when traveling in cars, as well as the flight back.
It may be a couple of weeks before you can return to work, and several months before you feel healed inside and out.
Butt implants in South Korea typically cost around 50% of the price they do in Australia. Prices at our partner clinics in South Korea start at less than $7,000. [Please note: these prices are approximate estimates based on international data, calculated at the time of writing. You can check the clinic pages on our site to obtain the latest, most accurate pricing. Or if you are ready to book your appointment, you can do so right here any time of the day or night, at no charge to you.]
