Medical Departures has partnered with a range of clinics throughout Thailand that offer cosmetic treatments at prices significantly lower than at home. So whether you’re staying in Bangkok or Phuket, Pattaya or Chiang Mai, you’ll find a convenient location to have this quick procedure carried and get on with enjoying your holiday in the Land of Smiles.

Why Have Juvederm in Thailand?

Thailand is a magnet for medical tourists and is well-known for its top-class facilities, know-how and expertise. Cosmetic surgery and associated non-invasive cosmetic treatments are some of the most popular procedures medical tourists seek in Thailand.

It may still be considered a "developing" nation, but its medical services are often far ahead of its Western counterparts. Many patients who come to Thailand are astounded by the state-of-the-art hospitals, the exceptionally high standards of service, attention to detail and, of course, the clinical expertise.

The Thais do not rest on their laurels. They are continually improving facilities, re-investing money into the infrastructure, and ensuring they deliver services that are far and above expectations and meet all international health and safety protocols. Medical tourism is a success story here, and the Thais intend it to stay that way.

That isn’t to say there aren’t some less than satisfactory facilities around – there are also places you would rather avoid in your own country, but it’s always worthwhile doing a little research on your procedure, and the clinics you have short-listed.

To make this process a little easier, Medical Departures has already undertaken background research on all of our clinics. We make on-site visits – and check how they operate, verify qualifications and professional memberships and look to see if there are any pending or past criminal proceedings or litigation. We also look at reviews from the people who know best – past patients.

Only if all our checks are satisfactory do we put a listing on our website, just like the highly-rated Le Vince Clinic in Bangkok that offers Juvederm to international patients.

How Does Juvederm work?

Hyaluronic Acid (HA), the active ingredient in Juvederm, is found in the human body in the joints, eyes and skin. It lubricates and moisturizes, retaining over 1,000 times its weight in water.

Ever wondered why babies have soft, dewy, plumped skin? It’s because they are naturally blessed with high quantities of hyaluronic acid after birth. Unfortunately, our bodies produce less of it as we age, and as it diminishes, our skin loses its moisture and that’s when we begin to see fine lines and wrinkles developing. Juvederm essentially adds HA back into the skin, which provides moisture and volume to even out those wrinkles.

How Long Does Juvederm Treatment Take? What Is Involved and What Is the Recovery Time?

Local anaesthetic is usually given prior to the Juvederm being administered. The injection points for each area to be treated are selected, and the Juvederm gel is injected directly into the skin with a fine needle.

Initially, after the treatment, you will probably experience localized swelling and redness (which you can cover up with make-up), but you will be able to return to your everyday activities immediately. You should be able to notice the results straight away, and the effects will last for up to a year.

What Is the Cost of Juvederm in Thailand Compared to Australia and New Zealand?

The prices are typically based on a syringe, which is usually enough to treat one area, although some may require two. The average cost of Juvederm in Thailand is $500 (US $400, CAD $500, £250 GBP, €350).

In Australia, for example, the prices are around $800 (US $600, CAD $750, £400 GBP, €550).

[Please: the above-mentioned average prices are estimates based on data at the time of writing which can be found on our clinic listing pages].

There’s absolutely nothing that needs improvement. In fact, I was particularly impressed with the parking area, which made a significant difference in the ease and convenience of my visit.

From the moment I arrived on my first visit, the service has been impeccable. However, one minor issue was the temperature of the air conditioning, which I found to be a little too chilly for my liking.

The service here has built a solid reputation for excellence, and it consistently lives up to that high standard with every visit, making it clear why it is so well-regarded.

While the service is generally very good, I found the air conditioning to be quite cold. I would have appreciated a slightly warmer environment, as the temperature was a bit sharp for my comfort.
