About Dr. Can Gemalmaz
Dr. Halil Can Gemalmaz MD completed his medical doctorate education at Gazi University School of Medicine in the capital Ankara in 2001–where he also carried out his fellowship training in Orthopaedic and Traumatology.
He later completed his mandatory military duties as an orthopaedic surgeon between 2008 and 2011, which led to his orthopaedic career at Acıbadem Hospitals network. He later became an Associate Professor at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar School of Medicine in 2021.
Dr. Gemalmaz is a member of the Turkish Society of Shoulder and Elbow and Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Society in Turkey. He has been a highly-renowned expert in the field of patient-specific orthopaedic solutions in Turkey since 2014, particularly in computer-aided surgical planning, 3D printed custom surgical guides and implants. He pioneered several challenging surgeries using his specialist knowledge in bone deformity, malunion and complex arthroplasty cases including revision arthroplasty.
Dr. Gemalmaz is fluent in Turkish and English, while his staff can speak French, Russian and Arabic.
