- Dr. Apikit Srisermphoak is a distinguished orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand surgery. Fluent in both English and Thai, he earned his M.D. from the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, in 1986. He holds a diploma from The Thai Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, awarded in 1992. Dr. Srisermphoak completed his orthopedic surgery training at Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital, Thailand, in 1992, and further specialized in hand surgery at the Mayo Clinic in the United States in 1995. His extensive training and expertise make him a leading figure in orthopedic surgery.
- Dr. Chartchai Pukanjanamorakot is a highly experienced orthopedic surgeon and associate professor specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopy. Fluent in both English and Thai, he earned his M.D. from the Faculty of Medicine at Prince of Songkla University in 1986. He obtained his Diploma of the Thai Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 1991. With a strong background in sports medicine and arthroscopy, Dr. Pukanjanamorakot further advanced his expertise by completing a fellowship in arthroscopic surgery at SportKlinik in Stuttgart, Germany, supported by a DAAD scholarship from 1993 to 1994.
- Dr. Chalomkwan Prayoonvej is a renowned specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, with a focus on reproductive medicine. She earned her M.D. from the Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University in 1999. She holds a Diploma of Thai Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (2005) and a Diploma of Thai Sub-Board of Reproductive Medicine (2010) from Chulalongkorn University. In 2019, she completed a Clinical Observership Training Program in Male Infertility and In Vitro Fertilization at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA. Dr. Prayoonvej’s expertise includes male and female infertility, assisted reproductive technology (IUI, IVF-ICSI), fertility preservation, surgical sperm retrieval, recurrent miscarriages, implantation failures, and gynecologic endoscopy (hysteroscopy, laparoscopy).

This hospital is utterly INCREDIBLE. Dr Piyawat is an absolutely brilliant doctor. They took a very grim and complex situation and completely transformed it for the better! They performed 2 life safe saving surgeries and helped with an absolutely perfect patient repatriation to Australia. Everyone I spoke to was so professional, courteous, the communication was flawless which in a non-English speaking country was a HUGE RELIEF! They were extremely fair, honest and upfront with pricing. Dr Piyawat went above and beyond to help my uncle and my family and we will be forever grateful. If you ever know of a non-Thai resident who finds themselves in need of medical assistance in Thailand I would not even think twice about where to go for help. Five stars is not enough!!!!

I have selected Samitivej hospital for my hernia surgery after being disappointed by the Bangkok hospital. The surgent Pakpong Wathanaoran has been professional, dedicated, and showed genuine interest in my well-being. The hospital facilities are not as flashy as other top Bangkok hospitals but the service level, care, and dedication of the entire staff from admission to follow up exceed my expectations, they were professional, timely, and follow up at any step of the way which made me comfortable during the stressful time of being admitted for surgery! I would like to thank Samitivej hospital team and Pakpong Wathanaoran M.D. for their fantastic service and for taking good care of me! I am very grateful for all the support and attention received and warmly recommend this hospital.
