Chiang Mai and Liposuction

This brings us to liposuction,  just one of many cosmetic procedures available in the city for a much more reasonable price than you would encounter back home. The procedure itself is not a weight loss alternative, but rather a method to isolate fatty areas and remove fat tissue through a suction technique.

It is evident, proven over and over again, that diet and exercise are the key components for shifting weight. However, sometimes, no matter how much effort you put into exercise or gym time, stubborn areas of fat (that have accumulated over a long period of time) just won't budge. In these cases, many people decide to take a more aggressive approach to remove fat by undergoing liposuction, which helps contour those flabby regions.

While there are various ways to lose fat and get the figure you have always wanted, not all programs work the same, or as effectively. Because most of us are naturally impatient to shed the fat, liposuction often seems (and is) the best option.

However, a common problem that people face is that liposuction is expensive. For patients traveling from New Zealand, Australia, China, Eastern Europe and the US, Chiang Mai is an ideal destination for the procedure because the surgery is offered inexpensively. Liposuction surgery can target a number of areas, and your surgeon will discuss your goals and aims prior to your procedure, as it is tailored to your specific circumstances. There are a number of techniques for breaking up the fat cells during the liposuction procedure: for example, by ultrasound or by injecting a solution straight into the fat to break it down. Once the fat is liquefied, a small cut is made and a suction tube attached to a specialised vacuum machine is then inserted. If the area to be treated is large, then various cuts may be necessary to achieve the desired results.

The treated area will then be bandaged and stitched; you’ll be advised to wear elastic compression clothing to reduce swelling and to speed up recovery. To make a full recovery, where one can resume tasks, two weeks is the average time. Nevertheless, as with most cosmetic surgeries, it might take around six months for a lipo patient to see noticeable results due to the fact that the treated area needs time to heal, with any swelling controlled by the compressive garment.

The amount of money you pay for liposuction will vary depending on the number of areas where fat is to be removed. The fee of course increases if multiple areas are treated.
