Farrer Park Hospital offers a decent inpatient experience in their P1 private single room. The lodger bed is essentially a visitor bench with a firm texture, but it’s a bit narrow at around 500mm in width. Despite this, the inpatient service is commendable with no major complaints. However, the admission process, both check-in and check-out, is somewhat lengthy, taking a minimum of approximately 40 minutes each, not including queuing time. Each ticket seems to take 30-40 minutes to process. Comparatively, I prefer other major hospitals where the administrative process is more efficient and streamlined. At those hospitals, you can pay in your room, avoid split bills with specialists, and enjoy quicker administrative tasks, enhancing the overall experience.

My elderly mom was admitted to Farrer Park Hospital for few days during last week of May24 and encountered very bad experience from this hospital. The nurses unable to keep up or follow doctor's instructions, daily oral scheduled medication can be missed out and needed reminders. Besides, IV jab for IV drip was not properly administered and checked closely, causing my mom arm to be swollen due to lV antibiotic leakage to her skin. The hospital is under staff. Due to the poor standard of medical care, we decided to transfer her out to Mt Alvernia Hospital to continue treatment. Hospital very slow in processing bill. You have been warned. Admit at your own risk.

FPH is generally nice place to be hospitalised if one needs to. It’s clean and spacious. That’s a plus point for me, unlike crowded hospitals. Admission and Discharge can improve on their timings as wait time can be very long. They don’t seem to have enough staff at Patient Service Office but the poor few in the front working so hard.
